Laser Cutting: If you are looking for a way to produce small batches of parts or form an intricate part design, Hyde Custom Fabrication and laser cutting can handle almost any project.
We use the latest laser cutting technology by utilizing a laser beam to cut various materials. This process is very commonly found in industrial manufacturing applications today. Laser cutting directs the output of a high power laser beam at the material to be cut. During the process, the material will either melt, blow away, burn, or vaporize away, in the end, achieving the perfect cut.
High-Speed Blanking: This is the process of punching a blank into a predetermined shape by die cutting the outside shape of the part. At Hyde, we use this to cut large sheets or continuously fed coils of stock into smaller pieces. This application is often combined with piercing, which adds punch-out shapes within the blank.
Some key characteristics of the blanking process include:
- The process produces economical metalwork pieces in strip and sheet metal throughout medium or high production processing
- The workpiece is removed from the primary metal stock when the punch enters a die
- It produces a burnished and sheared section on the cut edge
- It produces burred edges
- It allows control of quality by the punch and die clearance
- It offers the ability to produce holes and shapes of a wide variety of sizes quickly and efficiently
Heat Treating: Hyde has got your back when it comes to quality heat-treating for all of your parts. We have the years of experience and know-how necessary to get the job done and fill your needs.
Heat-treating is the process of altering the properties of strength, ductility, toughness, hardness or resistance to corrosion on a variety of metals. During this application, the metal is heated to extreme temperatures to obtain the desired result. Whether you are looking for us to harden or soften a material, Hyde takes the critical steps in the manufacturing process to properly heat treat through annealing, tempering, and quenching.
Grinding & Polishing: When the parts you are designing or manufacturing need to be ground in or require a highly polished finish, you can call on us at Hyde. We have the experience in grinding and polishing that will produce an awesome product to meet your design specifications.
Custom Blade Grinding is a machining process that utilizes abrasive wheels as the cutting tool. As the wheel spins, the abrasive grains on the wheel act as a single-point cutting edge. On each rotation, they remove a tiny chip from the material. Grinding is very similar to other cutting applications, except they are working on a much finer scale.
In addition to the above services, we can help you with the following capabilities to make your life just a bit easier:
Customer Support –We have the hands-on experience necessary to get you the product or information you need.
Pressroom – We can form your parts through high-speed blanking, laser cutting, and band sawing. We produce and maintain most of our tooling in-house and are capable of reacting quickly to the demands of the various markets we serve.
Assembly/Packaging – If you need your finished parts assembled, kitted, or packaged, we have extensive capabilities from industrial-grade to retail-style packaging.
