Does your business need a quote for straight blades? Never mind straight blades. Does your business need a quote for any type of blade or knife?

If your business does, then this is the article for you. Keep reading and you’ll learn the quick and simple steps needed to get a quotation from Hyde Industrial Blade Solutions.

If you’re in a hurry, you can go straight to our quotations page by visiting this link.

There, you’ll find circular blade, straight blade, and custom blade quote forms. Each is available in an on-line version and a downloadable PDF.

There’s also a form if you need a quick quote. To get a quick quote all you’ll need to provide is your name, email address, phone, subject, and message.

In the message field, let us know what you’re looking for in terms of blades and/or knives. That way, when we contact you, we’ll have some ideas for your business.

The on-line quote forms for circular blades, straight blades, and custom blades are very easy to follow. There are numbers next to each category that corresponds to a number on a large diagram.

When we ask you to select a bevel edge, we also show you all the bevel edges available.

The only bit of information you’ll need to know beyond measuring and examining the blade you need, is the type of steel you desire, its hardness (Rockwell Hardness C), and the quantity you desire.

For circular blades, we ask that you provide us with the following information:

  • Outside diameter
  • Slots, scallops, etc.
  • Center hole
  • Drive holes or keyways
  • Thickness
  • Type of steel desired
  • Hardness
  • Bevel edge
  • Honing
  • Edge thickness
  • Bevel width
  • Quantity desired

For straight blades, we ask that you provide us with the following information:

  • Length
  • Bolt slots or notches
  • Width
  • Thickness
  • Type of steel desired
  • Bevel edge
  • Honing
  • Hardness
  • Flatness requirement
  • Quantity desired

The custom blade on-line quote form is like the previously mentioned forms, but with a few differences since most custom blades are irregular shaped.

Here’s the information we ask for on the custom blade quote form:

  • Length (longest dimension)
  • Width (widest dimension)
  • Thickness
  • Quantity desired
  • Application desired
  • Type of steel desired
  • Hardness
  • Flatness requirement
  • Slots, scallops, etc.

All the forms ask for a drawing, but the custom blade quote form asks for it sooner, and obviously, it’s more important for custom products. It’s very helpful if you can include a sample of the part too.

Each form has a field where you can describe your application and provide additional comments.

The on-line forms have submit buttons. You can email filled out PDFs to sales@hydeblades.com.
